MY SKINCARE MORNING ROUTINE: SUMMER EDITION

STEP 1-CLEANSE

I like to start by cleansing with my Calendula cleanser by Khiel’s. I did a review on this check it out here!

 

STEP 2-SCRUB

 I scrub 2-3 times a week depending on how my skin is feeling that week and I like using the Ole Henriksen walnut scrub.

 

STEP 3-MASK

 I like to apply the turmeric and cranberry seed mask by Khiel’s twice a week as well, this mask is energizing and it helps me wake up. I alternate it with the scrub because the mask has cranberry seeds that act as a gentle exfoliation when rinsing the mask off. I leave this on for 5 minutes when I have to be out the door and 10 when I have some more time.

 

STEP 4-TONE

I use Caudalie’s grape water toner. It’s so nice and cooling and during summer it helps my skin feel refreshed because here in FL is already way too hot!

 

STEP 5-Moisturize

I use my La Mer moisturizer everyday! My skin has been crazy dry so I enjoy the cream consistency and it doesn’t leave me feeling greasy. If you have very oily skin then try the matte version because it can make you look oily. I have to switch moisturizer and my alternate one for when my skin gets extra oily is Dr. Jart’s drop of water! It’s gel based and it’s very light!

 

STEP 6-SPF

Please please please! Make sure you’re using SPF! Sun rays are no joke and not good for your skin. My moisturizer does not have SPF, however if I’m not wearing makeup I like to apply a layer by using a regular sunscreen and if I’m wearing makeup, either my foundation has SPF or my Supergoop defense setting mist which has 50 SPF!
